Argholslent/Incorrigible Bigotry/Moribund Records/Drakker Productions/2003 CD review

Argholslent are a band from Oakton, Virginia that has members of Grand Belial's Key and While Heaven Wept that play N.S Melodic black/death metal with some hatecore and RAC influences and this is a review of their 1993 album "Incorrigible Bigotry" which was released by Moribund Records under exclusive pact with Drakkar Productions.

Drums are mostly fast with alot of brutal blast beats, while the bass playing has a very powerful sound that is easy to hear at times and it is all rhythm bass that follows the riffs that are coming out of the guitars with some bass leads.

Rhythm guitars are very melodic and technical riffs that are very heavy and mix death and black metal together with a good amount of thrash as well as hatecore influences, while the lead guitars are melodic and very technical guitar solos that have a classic metal as well as melodic death metal feel.

Vocals are mostly deep death metal growls that are very easy to understand with a good amount of black metal influences, while the lyrics about European pride with alot of hatred for blacks, jews, and christians and you can tell that the songwriting did alot of reasearch on his anti semetic lyrics, as for the production on this recording which was recorded south of the Mason Dixon line sounds very professional and you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this album.

IN my opinion Argholslent are a very good band and if you are an open minded fan of all n.s styles of metal or melodic black/death metal you should add this album to your collection. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Flogging The Cargo" "Quelling the Simian Surge" and "Hereditary Taint" RECOMMENDED BUY.
