Mausoleum Of Death are an international band with members from both Italy and Norway that play a very satanic and blackened form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2017 ep "Ecstatic Violence & Hatred".
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the ep along with some angry screams which also add in touches of black metal while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a great amount of blast beats along with the vocals also bringing in a great amount of deep death metal growls.
A lot of the music goes back to the early 90's era of black and death metal while the riffs also bring in a great amount of dark sounding melodies while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they remain very true to a very chaotic and old school style of black/death metal, when spoken word parts are utilized they give the music more of a ritualistic feeling.
Mausoleum Of Death plays a style of blackened death metal that is very dark, heavy and old school sounding, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover Satanism, Violence and Darkness themes.
In my opinion Mausoleum Of Death are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Killing Your Illusions" and "Odium Manifesto". 8 out of 10.
